Let's kick off this adventure with some some yapping. Led by parents of genderful families ourselves, let's talk about what you wish existed for your family. What is your biggest frustration and your biggest joy? What kind of group structure would fit at this moment in your life? Do you feel safe? We want to hear it all. No commitment, only curiosity.

SO... IS THIS A CHURCH THING?

Yes and no. This community is built by Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community, a church, but it is not a faith-focused program and does not impose religious belief or practice. It is open to families of all religions and no religion. 

But let's get real, so many of the harms experienced by the LGBTQIA+ community have been caused or reinforced by the Church. So we think the responsibility for repair also rests with the Church. Hot Metal has an established history of inclusive practice and is already shaped by gender-diverse families within our shared life. This is just who we are.
